The studio

Forty-eight seasons, one way of working.

Mavoryne opened in 2014 with three people and a rented studio in Bermondsey. We are now eleven, split between London and Paris, and we still take on twelve projects a year — no more.

01 — Why we exist

Craft is a commercial argument.

Elise Marchand started the studio after eight years directing campaigns in Paris and Antwerp, mostly for houses whose clothes were better than their pictures. The gap was never taste. It was that nobody treated the imagery as part of the commercial argument the collection had to make.

So we work the other way around. We read the line sheet before the moodboard. We ask what the buy needs to prove before we ask what the campaign should feel like. It produces work that is quieter than the brief usually asks for and considerably more useful eighteen months later.

Twelve projects a year is a deliberate ceiling. It is the number at which Elise can still be on every shoot and Tomás can still run every floor. We have turned down more work than we have taken since 2019.

02 — House rules

Four things we do not negotiate.

01

The fee is fixed

Quoted before anything is booked and never revised without written approval. If we misjudge the scope, that is our cost, not yours.

02

One director, every shoot

The person who sold you the idea is on set for it. We do not hand projects to a junior after the pitch.

03

Fabric in frame

Every shoot day opens with a colour chart and a physical swatch. It is ninety seconds that prevents a month of argument.

04

You own the pictures

Twenty-four months, all media, all territories, releases secured at casting. No renewal invoice hidden in month thirteen.

03 — The people

Who you will actually work with.

Elise Marchand

Founder & Creative Director

Elise founded Mavoryne in 2014 after eight years directing campaigns in Paris and Antwerp. She leads concept and casting on every project the studio takes.

Tomás Rivera

Head of Production

Tomás runs the studio floor — permits, crew, logistics and budgets. Twelve seasons of show production means very little surprises him.

Naomi Okafor

Art Director

Naomi shapes the visual grammar of each season: typography, sequencing, colour and the way a garment is allowed to sit on the page.

Jonas Lindqvist

Studio Director

Jonas handles client partnerships and the commercial side of the studio, from first scope call through to final delivery.

Work with us

Twelve projects a year. Two slots left for S/S 27.

If the season matters, start the conversation early. We hold two slots each season for labels that need to move faster than the calendar allows.
